Hello, I am Aimée and I Knitting Pattern Tech Editor from the North East of England. In addition to Tech Editing I am an avid Knitter, Spinner and Knitwear Designer.
My first knitting project was an absolute disaster but, after my mam stopped laughing, she showed me the basics and the rest is history. One wool shop, two knitting tattoos, a podcast and a lot of knitting later here I am today, working as a Knitting Pattern Tech Editor and Knitwear Designer.
I trained to become a Tech Editor through the Tech Editor Hub in 2022 and have been working with clients since early 2023. Tech editing knitting patterns just tickles that part of my brain that loves problem solving, as well as allowing me to work with amazing Knitwear Designers from across the world.
I love to edit all kinds of patterns but I have a real soft spot for accessories, as well as designing them, they seem to be my favourite thing to knit too! This photograph was taken moments before I walked down the aisle on my wedding day.
My work background is in Project and Programme Management so I have a really sharp eye for detail and have a special skill for spotting errors, which made training to be a Tech Editor a great idea.
In my spare time I am usually knitting, spinning or snuggling under a blanket with my husband, our house bunny Milo and two cats, Arwen and Eowyn.
